Outreach Worker – Hull Lighthouse

Location: Hull

Salary: £29,506

Hours: FT 35 hours

Contract: 18 Months

The Role

We’re looking for a flexible, motivated and empathetic Outreach Worker to join our team.

This is a dynamic, community-based role where you will build trusted relationships with women facing multiple disadvantage and support them to access services, overcome barriers, and achieve their personal goals.

This role will work alongside the Hull Changing Futures partnership, help to reduce system barriers, supporting individuals to access housing, substance use treatment, health care, mental health support, safeguarding processes, and criminal justice pathways.

You will deliver assertive outreach, often working in challenging environments, and take a trauma-informed, relational approach to support women who may not engage with traditional services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of women, providing personalised, ongoing support
  • Build strong, trusting relationships and maintain consistent engagement—even when individuals disengage
  • Support women to access services including:
    • Housing and homelessness support
    • Substance use treatment
    • Physical and mental healthcare
    • Benefits and financial advice
    • Criminal justice and legal support
  • Advocate on behalf of clients and challenge barriers within systems
  • Coordinate and participate in multi-agency working and case reviews
  • Provide practical, hands-on support (including attending appointments, court, and hospital visits)
  • Maintain accurate case records and contribute to monitoring outcomes
  • Work flexibly across office settings and outreach in the community, including some evening work
